Entry qualification | Undergraduate diploma (or higher) The entry qualification documents are accepted in the following languages: English / Hungarian. If the transcript received from your school is not in English/Hungarian, you must have it translated into English and upload the translation together with verified copies of the original version. Language requirements | English Intermediate command of English is required. Please note that all applicants need to participate in an online admission interview. During this interview, you’ll need to prove your language skills and the admission committee will make their admission decision based on this. If you don’t reach the necessary language level, you won’t be granted admission even if you have a previously obtained language certificate. Applicants who do not meet the minimum language requirements have to start their studies with an English Language Preparatory Program. |

Other requirements | A relevant portfolio is required. Please upload your application materials to Google Drive (or other file storage and synchronization service) and send the link to international@metropolitan.hu 1. Samples of your previous fashion and textile design works, every form of fashion and textiles design is welcomed: pattern and structure design, fashion design, drawings of ideas, skecthes or photos etc. The maximum number of the works in the portfolio is 25 pieces. Please name the file as: Your name_fashionandtextile_MA.pdf 2. A short Letter of Motivation in which the applicant informs us about his/her educational background and the reasons of choosing to study Fashion and Textile Design Masterclass at our institution. 3. A narrative Curriculum Vitae in which the applicant shows us his/her educational background and highlights the most important events of his/her life. 4. Please include a Statement that verifies that all the materials included in the portfolio were created by you alone, and write a few words about the works in the portfolio. Every written material should be sent in PDF format. Portfolio is required. |

Overview
The task of the Fashion and Textile Department is to train designers who are capable of solving high-level design and creative processes in the fields of textile culture based on their education and creativity. Through their work, they contribute to the development of general object culture and to the enrichment of the Hungarian artistic life. Their works also have an impact on the international design market.
Students are able to synthesize and apply these in addition to the knowledge of traditional, craft and modern computer technology. Their critical sensation and analytical ability make them able to navigate any area of design thinking.
