Entry qualification

METU’s Summer School is open to full-time undergraduate and postgraduate university students currently enrolled. It is mandatory for all applicants to submit a proof of their active student status along with the application. Participants are required to be adults aged at or above 18 The entry qualification documents are accepted in the following languages: English. If the transcript received from your school is not in English/Hungarian, you must have it translated into English and upload the translation together with verified copies of the original version.

Overview

The English Communication version of our Summer School includes the following topics:

- Navigating cultures and societies abroad
- Writing Skills for University
- Business English – a general introduction of the welfare state
- Being a tourist in Europe
- English communication and AI generated texts
- A brief history of Hungary
- Highlights of Hungarian culture and traditions
- History and art in Budapest: contemporary art genres, street art, statues, facades

Programme structure

- Courses, 4 days a week, 5 hours a day (5 x 45 min) – 9:30 – 12:30 classes – Lunch break – 14:00 – 16:00 classes
- Lunch on the weekdays
- 2 days sightseeing tour (on wednesdays)
- 2 week pass for all public transportations)

Transportations, flight tickets, health care insurance, and meals at the weekend are not included
