Language requirements | English Intermediate command of English is required. Please note that all applicants need to participate in an online admission interview. During this interview, you’ll need to prove your language skills and the admission committee will make their admission decision based on this. If you don’t reach the necessary language level, you won’t be granted admission even if you have a previously obtained language certificate. Applicants who do not meet the minimum language requirements have to start their studies with an English Language Preparatory Program. |

Other requirements | A motivation letter must be added to your application. A relevant portfolio is required. 1. Portfolio a) Please include in the portfolio every relevant document with all essential information that you think are of great importance in your professional life (work done in and outside of organized training, professional achievements and art studies). b) Professional materials can be models, photographs of objects made, freehand and digital drawings, animations, etc. c) The portfolio should include a minimum of 3 and a maximum of 5 design works, regardless of whether they were created in connection with a school or other task. When presenting each work, the planning process should be emphasized, from the initial thoughts to the final presented objects. The portfolio should contain freehand sketches and flowcharts showing the use of the planned object, and 3D visuals showing the final object. d) The portfolio may include additional works which present the applicant’s plastic studies or results of other design studies. e) The portfolio may also include the professional successes of the applicant, as well as works within the framework of tenders. The title and the year of the tender, the name of co-designers and consultants participated in the tender must also be indicated. 2. Appendix (A4 separate sheets) a) Please include a Statement that verifies that all the materials included in the portfolio were created by you alone. b) A letter of motivation with your photo attached: Please submit a short motivation letter (maximum one page – A4) in which you inform us about your professional choice, commitment, (professional) results you reached and vision of your future. Please upload your application materials to Google Drive (or other file storage and synchronization service) and send the link to international@metropolitan.hu. Overview
This is for you if beside functionality you consider important the visual appearance of an object and you are ready to think on advanced level about industrial design, ergonomics, production technologies, relation between objects and their environment as a complex system.
During your studies you are free to design furniture pieces, hand tools, vehicles, labor-saving devices or complex customer service systems. With the aid of your creativity you can imagine and work out objects and environments of the future, such as robots and digital technology-based tools and devices. You will get familiar with current trends in industrial and product design. In addition, you can improve your skills in handmade and computer-based 3D modelling, 3D printing and persuasive presentation techniques.

First Year

Second year
You will design object systems, using environmentally responsible thinking
